Season Preview Part 2 – Defense

ComptonWelcome back to Fumblerooski!  In this episode we’re breaking down the Defense for the upcoming season.  We continue our segment, called “Das some bullshit” and the subject this time around is the tradition of the Blackshirts!  We get into what it means to wear the blackshirts and why it maybe means more to some fans than it does the players.  Getting into the positions we begin with the Defensive Line, the biggest question mark in a defense. We discuss the emergence of Randy Gregory at DE and what a healthy Thad Randle could do for the defense.  We mention a few other players and like much of the position groups, we have a few question marks about who out of these group of players is going to step up and play.  We move into the linebacking corps and discus the group lead by David Santos.  Again, there is a lot of potential, a reported great amount of speed, but a lack of experience.  We then move into the strength of the defense, the secondary and discuss Ciante Evans, The Jackson boys, Josh Mitchell, Stanley Jean-Baptiste and much like the linebacking corps, there are a lot of bodies, a lot of potential, but we discuss how it’s time for them to turn that potential to plays on the field.  It’s another fun discussion on Fumblerooski!
